Solid second week

Despite the very hot and humid conditions, we've had a fantastic 2nd week of practice. Our runs have consisted mostly of steady 40-minute runs to help build the base for the harder workouts and races to come. Today's practice consisted of a nice easy warmup, some dynamic stretches and then a mile time trial. There were quite a few lifetime PRs set and even more PRs compared to the time trial we did at the start of the season. Times improved almost across the board and we had several athletes drop 1-2 minutes off their previous time. We then moved on to a 15-minute circuit workout that consisted of bleachers, lunges, pushups, mountain climbers and squats. We're seeing a ton of progress and hope that we can continue this upward momentum all the way into the fall.
